Birdsong
Hotel - 5 roomed house
for nature lovers - details on request
A heavenly speck in the Indian Ocean, Bird Island is home every
year to Sooty Terns, turtles and other discerning guests that return
to roost at this most northerly spot
in the Seychelles.
Hotel staff and guests are encouraged to paticipate actively in
the island's conservation projects. Nature tours are organised
several times during the week.
' Bird ' is a tiny island, informal, friendly, and natural: snorkel
with Esmerelda the giant tortoise, reputed to be over 200 years
old and discover solitude on the three mile of sand that circumnavigates
Bird's shores.

Wildlife
A Birdwatchers
paradise with
millions of
Sooty Terns
visiting
May to October
nestling
at the far end of the island along with Common Noddy's and Fairy
Terns.
|
|
Lazy
days are spent discovering the island's natural delights. Birwatching
is especially popular, with species like the millions of Sooty
Terns from May to October nesting at the far end of the island,
and hawkshill turtles from October to February often seen during
the day coming up the beach to lay their eggs. Also to be seen
are the Common Noddy's and Fairy Terns. Snorkelling and glass-bottom
boat trips
allow you to meet the many marine life
that are attracted to these shores.
Our
Opinion
Bird Island in the Seychelles is unique and in a
word 'stunning'
thank goodness there are still unspoilt havens on this planet that
we can truly sharewith nature.
Comfortable accommodation, excellent food in an escapit's paradise
