LUXURY RAIL JOURNEYS
Luxury Rail Safaris

South Africa is fortunate to have two fantastic luxury rail operators, Rovos Rail and The Blue Train. For guests looking for something a little different, possibly for a special occasion or for those simply wanting to experience rail travel as it should be then either Rovos Rail or The Blue Train is the answer. Both offer all the luxury and service of a five star hotel on a train. Elegant interiors, period decor, wood panelling, lovingly restored coaches, gourmet food, and a romantic atmosphere all form part of the experience. Not to mention the fact that the trains travel through some of the most spectacular scenery in Africa. The most popular luxury train journeys are between Pretoria and Cape Town and between Pretoria and Victoria Falls. Rovos Rail offers a two-night journey From Pretoria to Cape Town and The Blue Train offers an overnight journey. Rail travel between Pretoria and Victoria Falls is a two night journey on both trains. Overnight journeys along the Garden Route and to Kruger National Park offer an alternative to the luxury train experience.
